LUPITU was born from the vision of designer Yves Lupitu, a German-Congolese creative whose journey bridges cultures, continents, and artistry.

Founded in 2011 in Paris, the brand began humbly but with purpose. By 2013, the first pieces came to life: two simple T-shirts in black and white, and one white polo shirt. Minimal in number, yet maximal in intention—these pieces carried the DNA of a brand that would grow to stand for identity, movement, and individuality.

In 2014, the collection expanded to 20 pieces, introducing jogger pants and a camouflage long sleeve, defining a signature mix of comfort, boldness, and street-driven luxury. Thanks to Yves’ close ties in the sports world, the early years of LUPITU were marked by powerful visibility—global icons like Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto’o, and other celebrated soccer players became some of the first to wear the brand.

The momentum quickly reached beyond sports. By the following years, LUPITU found admirers in music and culture, with artists such as Nicky Jam, Daddy Yankee, and stars from the NBA like Serge Ibaka proudly wearing the brand, pushing it into the global spotlight.

The brand’s journey through fashion stages also tells its story:

  • 2015: first runway show in Düsseldorf, Germany.
  • 2016: Paris Fashion Week debut with a unique vernissage, where cars and fashion merged in an innovative presentation to the Parisian public.
  • 2019: the brand opened a showroom in Paris, solidifying its European presence.
  • 2021: a bold move across the Atlantic, relocating the brand to New York, marking the next chapter in its global journey.

At the heart of this evolution is Yves Lupitu himself. With his German-Congolese roots, he designs from a perspective shaped by diversity, resilience, and ambition. His work reflects not just fashion, but a narrative of identity—bringing together sport, music, and street culture into pieces that speak universally.

In 2025, Yves Lupitu marked a new era for his vision by renaming the brand simply LUPITU. This shift symbolizes clarity and strength: a brand distilled to its essence, carrying forward its legacy with a sharper, stronger identity.

From a handful of T-shirts to the wardrobes of world stars, from Paris to New York, LUPITU is more than a label—it is a story of growth, community, and cultural fusion. A story still unfolding, driven by a designer who believes fashion is not just worn, but lived.
